Does Awapuni school take zero waste seriously?

Does Awapuni take zero waste seriously?
I strongly agree that Awapuni school takes zero waste seriously.
It is immensely obvious that Awapuni takes Zero waste seriously.
Firstly, our milk cartons go everywhere! For example some go to India.
They use the milk cartons to make roof tiles for the poor. In fact our milk carton
s are also turned into park benches and even dog parks! At Awapuni school we
have milk five days a week, Imagine how many people we are helping.
Also, instead of using vehicle transport lots of us walk or bike .
Vehicles produce greenhouse gases.

Secondly, Awapuni has a school green team. The green team students go
around the school and they check if the classrooms are recycling the paper
correctly. The green team even plant trees and look after our garden.
The trees will consume our greenhouse gases. This is easily avoiding global
warming.
Finally, we have spent approximately one whole term researching and teaching
about zero waste. The walls of our classroom are covered with pieces of writing
and artwork having to do with zero waste. We also made a wearable art out of
our “trash”. We even writed a letter to the Gisborne council about banning
plastic bags!

In Conclusion, I know that Awapuni school takes zero waste extremely
seriously. I am absolutely, completely agreeing that Awapuni school takes zero
waste seriously and you must agree to.

Matariki

Matariki

Twinkling in the cold, blue sky, they shine upon those who believe.
Glamorously, glistening they cannot blend in.
Hints of the gold whetu shimmering can quiet a noisy audience.
When the bright, moonlight awakens the trees they gaze at the
sparkling night sky with curiosity. As the fragrant flowers gracefully
sway in the breeze, they stare up at the glittery sky with hope,
wanting the moment to last forever. Seven whetu always with
your heart, even when they disappear.
